At Rise + Restore, we emphasize the importance of extended exhales and their numerous benefits. In this video, you'll observe and hear a river flowing for just over 60 seconds. Challenge yourself to see how long you can extend your exhale using effective breathing techniques.


Inhale deeply through your nose. Then, slowly exhale through your nose while you watch and listen to the river. Your goal is to push yourself to comfortably extend your exhale for as long as possible, remembering that this is a personal challenge against yourself.


We aim for you to eventually extend your exhale for the entire duration of the video, about 60 seconds, relying solely on nasal breathing. Once you master the 60-second exhale, strive to seamlessly transition back into another deep inhale, followed by yet another 60-second extended exhale.


By practicing the Rise + Restore breathing method, you'll learn to prolong your nasal exhales and enjoy the vast benefits that come with it. Enjoy this challenge, and good luck with your extended exhales!
